Thomas Nerwinski, a father of three, passed away unexpectly on July 22, 2017. He was a friend of the extended Poor Herbie's family.
The unexpected loss crushed Thomas's wife, Heather (née Craniey) and three children, Sarah (15), Grace (14) and Jack (11). Although the family lived in Frenchtown, NJ, Thomas's widow grew up in Chatham and the entire family still has close ties to this area.
So Poor Herbie's will be holding a benefit for the family on September 20, 2017. Ten percent of all Poor Herbie's sales proceeds during that entire day, from lunch through to closing will be donated to the family to help them through this terrible tragedy.
Since Poor Herbie's is making the donation, all you have to do that day is have lunch or dinner at Poor Herbie's. or even just stop in for a drink, to contribute. If you would like to donate separately, you can go to the Nerwinski Family GoFundMe page set up by a family friend and donate there.
Thanks in advance to all who come out or otherwise donate. We look forward to seeing you out here on September 20, 2017.
Please check out our Herbie's Happenings page for other upcoming benefits and events.
